Snatpool

Hi Experts,

We have 2 vlans A and B, configured with wildcard virtual server to access outbound internet. However, both the wildcard virtual servers use the same snatpool, as below.

snatpool snpab { members { 203.36.2.10 203.36.2.11 }}

Problem: Users with servers in vlans A and B, are having intermittent internet access issues. Sometime internet works other times it does not/times out. Also, weirdly when trying to access yahoo, request gets redirected to its brazilian site.

Any ideas would be of great help.

thanks -genseek

    Genseek Hi, Not an expert but have you get the IP that is working? As you mention it is intermittent and you are using SNAT pool with two ip's 203.36.2.10 203.36.2.11.
  • Hi genseek, were you able to resolve this problem? I am currently facing the same challenges as you did back then, and I would appreciate any contributions from you. Thanks in advance.

    i think you need packet capture including both clientside and serverside while the problem is happening.

  • Why do you have two wildcard virtual servers. In this scenario, from what I can deduce you only need one that listens on both VLAN's A & B. I assume there is a third connection on your BIGIP that is the Internet connection. If so are the 203.36 addresses inside the address space for that connection and not in use by anything else, including the BIGIP as a self IP address.
