MS Lync 2013 Deployment Question
Hi DevCentral Guru's,
I'm Joe and working as an F5 pre-sales systems engineer, we have a client who is deploying an MS Lync in their network. They have an LTM and GTM appliance. Their LTM appliance is used for load balancing their two HUB/CAS for MS Exchange email application, and their GTM is being used for internet link load balancing and DC to DC active standby setup.
Client's is almost finish deploying their MS Lync application and requested below configuration. All IP addresses are mask for protection.
- Client Access (port forwarding) - From 203.177.100.100 TCP:443 to 172.21.101.101 TCP:4443
- Audio/video - Bi-directional 122.54.100.199 UDP:3478 and TCP:443 to 172.21.101.100
-
WebConf - From 122.54.100.200 TCP:443 to 172.21.101.102 - From 172.21.101.102 UDP/TCP:53 to 122.54.100.200
-
Federation - Bi-directional 203.177.200.200 TCP:5061, 443 and 5269 to 172.21.101.103
I created below standard VS in their GTM appliance for this request, can you confirm if I did it right? I have used either TCP or UDP for protocol under “configuration basic” depending on the required protocol. I also use persistence as what I think is right base on deployment guideline for lync. Hope you could help me out since it is still not working per MS Lync consultant and that they are still checking as to where is the problem but, in my opinion the problem is with my configuration.
