I need to fully understand on LTM DNS zone express and cache features in LTM, I read some documents on how to enable dns express zones and cache in LTM but that it leads me into confusion, do I need ...

DNS Express

 

F5 acts as a slave server to your authoritative DNS server and answers out of memory at a very high rate.

 

DNS Cache/Resolver

 

Can perform transparent caching or can be a caching resolver itself (no DNS servers behind it).

 

To get these two features, you need to either have purchased the GTM module or the DNS module (F5-ADD-BIG-DNS) cheaper than full GTM. GTM module (F5-ADD-BIG-GTM) gives you full GSLB and these DNS services
